BOCC Adoption Hearing for Module 1 sections continued to Sept 28th, 9am
The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) held its continued Public Hearing on the Module 1 Land Use Code (LUC) sections on Tuesday, September 13th. (Meeting packet and agenda here.) Recording of the September 13th BOCC hearing is available here (hearing starts at time 02:01:10).
The Commissioners unanimously approved code text amendment language for LUC sections covering Site Plan Review Process, Special Event Permits, Right of Way Vacation, and Special Event Facility licensing.
The BOCC expects to ratify the final code text documents and a Resolution addressing effective dates and other conditions of implementation at their October 11th regular meeting.
The Commissioners continued the remaining Module 1 topics to a Special Meeting of the BOCC set for Wednesday, September 28th, beginning at 9:00am.
Topics slated for adoption include code text amendments covering Wildland Urban Interface, Accessory Dwelling Units, Agritourism, Short Term Rentals, Bed and Breakfasts, and Private Lands Camping.
The BOCC is now in its deliberations phase on the final code amendment drafts and has closed public comment on the specific Module 1 topics.
The BOCC will also be addressing the existing moratorium on Rights-of-Way Vacations in the Nathrop Townsite (Resolution 2022-26, adopted April 2022), which suspended road and alleyway vacations within the Townsite of Nathrop, pending adoption of the updated LUC regulations.
