Public Hearings - Aug 15 & Sept 5, 2023

Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners public hearings for Module 2 (Chapters 4, 5, 6, 7 of the Land Use Code) draft code amendments scheduled for August 15 (Planning Commission) and September 5 (BOCC) and were continued to September 19 (Planning Commission) and October 10 (BOCC).

Based on preliminary public input and staff and board review, the drafts were reformatted for improved organization, readability, and usability.

BOCC adoption hearing for Module 1 drafts not yet adopted are being continued to to Sept 28 (9:00am):

Community Open Houses - PENDING

The County will be hosting in-person open houses and pop-ups in the spring to share updates and receive input on Module 2 drafts development.

Topics under discussion will include:​​

  • Land Use Application and Review Procedures

  • Subdivision Standards

  • Conservation incentives

  • Development Standards

  • Private Lands Camping ("workforce")

  • as well as considerations of the Sustainable Development Plan currently underway

If the BOCC does not conclude the adoption hearing for all Module 1 topics at their meeting on the 28th, the BOCC will continue the hearing to Thursday, September 29th, beginning at noon.
